Bergstrom 'Cumberland Reserve' Pinot Noir 2016, Oregon, USA
Cumberland Reserve is a blend of 14 plots across Willamette Valley that is then aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months. The result is old school Oregon; bright crunchy fresh fruit, earthy intensity, a reductive flintiness, mushroom-laden. This is almost an Barbaresco-esque aromatic profile with dried herbs, flowers, meat, and pipe tobacco.
