ABOUT THE VINEYARD
The Tenuta Tignanello estate sits at the very heart of Chianti Classico, located between the hills of the Greve and Pesa river valleys. Covering over 300 hectares, a little under half of the estate is dedicated to the growth of vines. The unique and contrasting temperatures of the environment create a distinctive tasting experience, while Tignanello also occupies a place in winemaking history. It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, and among the first Chianti Classico red wines to forgo the use of white grapes.
