Château Montaiguillon Montagne Saint-Émilion 2018, Bordeaux, France
Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
WHAT IT GOES WITH
A bold and unapologetic Merlot, this wine is best enjoyed alongside a winter warming feast, such as a hearty stew or beef and game-centric roast.
ABOUT THE VINEYARD
Château Montaiguillon covers some 28 hectares in the Bordeaux region. The vineyard is owned by the Amart family, who initially took ownership back in 1949. Michel Rolland acts as an adviser for the business, but Chantal Amart has managed the empire for over 20 years now. The vineyard itself overlooks the Barbanne stream, as well as sharing vicinity with a range of other territories. This plum placement ensures that only the very finest, mature grapes are used in winemaking at Château Montaiguillon. This commitment to quality shines through once the produce is sampled.
