Maison Bouchard
Maillard Père et Fils Chorey-les-Beaune Rouge 2018, Burgundy, France
Aromas of morello cherry and raspberry with complex earthy elements lead to pure concentration of red berry fruits, a lick of smooth woody vanilla and a lovely supple, textured middle supported by very fine tannins. Elegant and complex.

ABOUT THE VINEYARD
Maison Bouchard was founded by 1731 by Michel Bouchard. A cloth merchant by trade, Michel purchased a House of Commerce in Burgandy. It was Michel's son Joseph that expanded the winemaking potential of the estate, snapping up vineyards that became available following the French Revolution. By the onset of the 20th Century, House Bouchard Père & Fils owned over 50 hectares of land and remains a reputable name in Burgandy. So much so that champagne house Joseph Henriot purchased the business in 2015.
